Título: The Salpeter equation for the description of time dependent relativistic spinless free particle.

Abstract:
The Salpeter equation, often called relativistic Schrödinger equation was introduced by Salpeter after his derivation with Bethe of the well known Bethe-Salpeter equation which describes the bound states of a two-body (particles) quantum field theoretical system in a relativistically covariant formalism. In this presentation I will discuss the equation in the historical perspective and study  some of its solutions and approximations.
